You can purchase the domain at Godaddy.com, but they send a lot of emails regarding new offers, you can just ignore them. Or you can log into your account and opt out of those emails.

And I think you know that, you will be charged annually for the domain.

Dear friends
I am new to this forum but having a terrific experience of adsense you said adsense is strict ya it should be but listen they are not strict at all there is a way or procedure to get into adsense
Adsense Account is a dream for every small and big web publisher now I came to my point

I will list error and there solutions

1)First you need a six months old blog please dont ask why
2)Then you will face error Inacceptable content
Ans:-This error means you have copied content or inacceptable content
solve this with http://copyscape.com
3) High level Domain (www.Example.com)
Ans:- you need to redirect your blog to another domain name
redirect your blog to .co.cc they give 1year free now redirect your blog use same name as your blog Example I have http://yogirocks.blogspot.com I will redirect it to http://www.yogirocks.co.cc (use the Same name as your blog) to know how to setup or redirect kindly search google while applying to adsense apply for .co.cc

4) Difficult site navigation
Change your template Post again
and then apply for high level domain again use your.co.cc,.com in Adsense application

5)our specialists have found that it does not meet our program
criteria. Therefore, we are unable to accept you into our program ,Program crieteria Issue

Dont know need help my site http://www.yogirocks.co.cc
E-mail-mail.bagga@gmail.com

"In some locations, including China and India, we also require publishers to have owned their sites for 6 months. We've taken this step to ensure the quality of our advertising network and protect the interests of our advertisers and existing publishers."

There is nothing secret in getting adsense account approved. According to the new Adsense policy, a domain should be 6 months old to be eligible for Adsense approval. If you don't have such domains, wait till your domain complete 6 months!

Once I read an article that getting Adsense approval through Blogger blogs is easy and fast! You can try it! (not sure) :)

I think that Google is getting more strict in releasing new adsense accounts. There are some general rules they are following for adsense accounts in India
a)Your top level domain has to be more than 6 months old.
b)The domain should be registered in your name.
c)There should be Substantial content on the site.

Do you pass all these criteria?

I am a blog writer. I am currently writing 4 blogs but there is a problem withe my latest one its URL is http://www.technodesi.com
Now there is a very strange kind of a problem that have arosen in this blog. That is till some time google was regurlarly indexing my blog and some of my posts are getting me 65 visits per day each but now what has happened is now when ever I write a new post It appears into the google for some time as it is indexed but then it goes away like it was never been even crawled.
I have been experincing this for 15 days now and a lot of gr8 and original posts have gone waste.
Now why can it be so the google is not doing the indexing thing to my new blog where as my old blogs are giving my a traffic of 200 - 400 visits from google per day its self and this new one is only giving me 50 - 60 visits.

For this I have an openion that my domain might have been banned so how to check that and correct it. but If you feel there might be any other problem please share and also write about how to solve it. As I have put a lot of effort in this blog and I don;t want it to go waste.

Well, thnx for replying. The opposite party is registered charity in UK (Sikh Temple). There is no contract of any kind between me & them. As I know IT stuff, so I designed and hosted their website on my account with my money. They havn't spent even 1 ruppee till now.

Its 8months till i left UK. Now when I sent them a email saying plz pay money to me so that i can renew the services (domain name & hosting), they replied to transfer domain to them which I don't want as they threaten me. I was happy, if they pay my expenses and requested me to transfer but they did not.

Now I don't want to transfer it for free. I need money more than I spent. Means I want to sell domain name.

I confirmed from Nominet.org.uk, they said anyone from any part of the world can buy .uk domain and he/she is not required to be a British/UK citizen.

Please help me, as I am a student not doing any job. I just want to know, what legal action in India (Indian Government)can take (FIR, Court Case, claim etc.) can be taken by them. I dont have money to goto court or hire a solicitor. But I do have a proof as the email they sent to me (our email communication about this dispute)in which they gave me a threat. I have renewed the domain for next 2years.

Please give your valuable suggestion.
Thanks very much 4 ur kind help.

India's cyber laws won't come into effect as you entered into contract with a non-Indian company (the domain name host).

If the organisation is registered, then they can bring about legal means to ask you to hand over the site to them. You don't want to be called a site squatter, hand it over.

If you've entered into contract with them for services provided and there is proof of the same, then you can point to that, but apparently you did all the work gratis. However, from what you've written, even though you might technically own the name, it's best to negotiate and hand over the domain. Otherwise, renew the domain with your own money and brace yourself for a fight.

Also, are you satisfying all the conditions necessary for owning a .co.uk domain? If you aren't the domain registrar might take the domain away from you on the grounds of misrepresentation.

I went to Uk for few months on Visa. I bought there ".co.uk" domain on my name and my temp address of UK. I designed a website for religious org for free and also hosted this site on my hosting account.

When I asked them for money to renew services, they started threatening me to handover domain name to them which I dont want as I am the only legal owner.

About Domain : This is registered through http://www.fxdomains.com which is USA based. And hosted on http://www.ixwebhosting.com which also USA based. Domain name is on my name and I am living in India. The domain name is http://www.somewebsite.co.uk, which ends in .uk. The http://www.nominet.org.uk take care of all UK domains based in UK.

My questions:

1. If the opposite party will file a legal complaint against me to claim domain name, in which country, it will be filed & processed.

2. Domain registrar & hosting companies are USA based and I am from India, living in India. How the case will proceed.

3. What legal actions can be taken against me and how these will effect me.

4. What is India's cyber law says about this dispute.

Plz help...

Hi @Mritunjay What @sparx has conveyed you is absolutely correct.. Decide yourself.. if you want to monetize then go for a registered domain with Wordpress hosted or you can also try with JOOMLA incase you want to do in big scale with huge visitor and want a blog which look like a website...

You can get number of services or a freelance technical person to configure your blog in wordpress and pay them the charge and then you can blog without having any technical experience...

Two ways to go about this: Both involve getting yourself some form of a WordPress blog. If all you're interested in is spreading the word of your work to the world then opt for a pre-loaded blogging service like http://www.wordpress.com

If, on the other hand, you wish to monetise your content and earn from it, then you need to be able to change and tweak things around, which means you're better off with a self-hosted WordPress installation which will give you the freedom to fine-tune almost every aspect of your blog/site. Naturally, you'll be responsible for maintaining it, so you have to be prepared to work as your own tech support (unless you find someone trustworthy and knowledgable enough to carry out the task(s) on your behalf).

In both cases, I recommend that you get yourself a domain name and thus ensure that whichever method / type of blog host that you choose - your domain name will reflect on you anmd your work as a brand.

However, given the knowledge base i have collected over last two years i want to have my own blog where i can provide information about different categories. Could you people please suggest me whether i should start this work on a blog like blogger/wordpress or should i register my own domain name? your suggestion will be really appreciated.
Thanking you in advance.

regards,
