If you're asking whether free traffic sites really work, the answer is yes if you know how to work them. There are lots of places online that offer free advertising and traffic services for anyone who has a website. I've just read ""How to Get FREE Advertising and Traffic for Your Business Website" and believe that these are conventional and standard methods. Some other unique methods to draw traffic would be to search engine optimize your website, to create a video and post it on YouTube, to create an ebook and have it uploaded to sites such as high traffic sites such as Download.com. But now, because of spams and adsense-only sites, they might have decided to change the rule. Now you should have your own top level domain name to get accepted for adsense. Just think of retaining (and making them returning) the traffic first and let your content do the rest. You have started only a couple of months back so nothing really unusual happening to you. I would suggest you to focus only on content building for at least next 2-3 months. Don't sway too much from the main objective of the blog. This will save your precious time from getting wasted in writing not-so-relevant and hence relatively insignificant articles. You might already be knowing and doing all this.
