CrunchPad is a Linux-powered Tablet PC with a touch-screen interface but without a dedicated keyboard. The tablet is primarily designed for cloud computing so it’s more about web applications than desktop software.

The initial prototype pictures of CrunchPad suggest that it could be a great device for surfing as well as reading documents on the go. It sports a USB port so you can plug in an external keyboard or a USB drive for transferring documents.

Now the good news is that Arrington is all set unveil this device in public for the first time next month. TechCrunch is organizing a "Netbook Conference" on July 10 in San Jose, California where invitees will have a chance to play with the actual CrunchPad.

No idea about the shipping date or the price of CrunchPad but guess it should be in the $200-$300 range.
