Here’s a very useful keyboard shortcut for Microsoft programs like Word, Outlook, Windows Live Writer, etc.

When you cut, copy & paste text from a web page into an email message or a Word document, the associated formatting styles also get copied along with the text.

If you like to clear this formatting, just select the text again and press Ctrl key followed by space bar. The selection is converted into plain text without requiring any macros and no more hunting the paste special menu button.

TechSmith today released SnagIt 9 – the best screen capture program for Windows. SnagIt 9 is available for download on Windows XP and Vista systems though the Mac version is still in the works.

Newsgator Online service suffered some outage this morning as it failed to retrieve new content from RSS feeds for several hours.

The issue is now resolved but during the downtime, none of their desktop RSS readers worked because they both download new content via Newsgator Online and do not fetch feeds directly from the source website(s).
